The Omnigo Community app wins for innovation, functionality, and benefits to the user.
Omnigo Software, a leading provider of public safety, incident reporting, and security management solutions for law enforcement, education, healthcare and other enterprise markets, has been announced as one of the winners of Campus Safety’s 2018 BEST Awards for the Omnigo Community app for hospital, school, and university protection professionals. The BEST Awards recognize superlative security, law enforcement, emergency management, and safety solutions for K-12 institutions, universities, and healthcare organizations.
The Omnigo Community app was touted as a quick, easy method of communication between students, teachers, patients and visitors (i.e. users) and public safety departments. The app allows users to interface immediately with specific individuals or the public safety department via email or text notifications. The user can also attach images and video to their messages when appropriate.
“Every day, we are looking for ways to improve safety for not only the general public, but the brave professionals who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe,” said Omnigo Software CEO Bobby Robertson. “We are honored to be recognized for our concerted efforts, and we’re grateful to Campus Safety for this inspiring accolade.”
With Omnigo Community app, public safety departments can view requests and notifications on a map, making it easier to prioritize incoming messages and triangulate activity. They can also send responses en masse to multiple app users, send push notifications, and send messages specifically to users within virtual boundaries using the geo-fencing function.
"Campus Safety takes pride in focusing on content that helps protect professionals in the healthcare and education markets, and keeping their students, teachers, patients, visitors, and campuses safe and secure," says Robin Hattersley Gray, executive editor of Campus Safety.
Entries were judged on qualities such as innovation, functionality, and benefits to the installer, and will be highlighted in the Campus Safety Best Awards Gallery on www.CampusSafetyMagazine.com.
