Dr. Schadlow brings 25+ years of national security experience in public and private sectors.
St. Louis, MO – Sept. 13 2018 – Omnigo Software, a leading provider of comprehensive public safety, incident reporting, and security management solutions for law enforcement, education, healthcare, gaming, hospitality, and other enterprise markets, has appointed public safety industry veteran and experienced strategist Dr. Nadia Schadlow to its board of directors. As the newest member to the board, Dr. Schadlow’s decades of experience will provide critical insight into the ever-evolving public safety arena, and her guidance and strategic counsel regarding national security issues will allow Omnigo to grow and adapt based on observed trends in both public and private sectors internationally.
“Dr. Schadlow brings decades of experience to the security field with her unique background in both public and private sector leadership roles,” said Bobby Robertson, CEO of Omnigo Software. “Her strategic insight and far reaching expertise will help further Omnigo’s efforts to ensure safer tomorrows in our communities, our country, and across the world. We are humbled to have her on board and look forward to engaging her passion to the benefit of Omnigo’s customers and the people they protect every day.”
Dr. Schadlow’s United States government experience includes senior advisory leadership positions at the National Security Council and the Department of Defense. As a senior member of President Trump’s administration, Dr. Schadlow was the principal author of the National Security Strategy (NSS), coordinating strategic analysis and forging consensus across multiple governmental departments at the highest levels. The resulting NSS document is the first strategy paper since the end of the Cold War to identify the return of great power rivalry as a central feature of global geopolitics.
While at the National Security Council, Dr. Schadlow also advanced the need to develop a National Security Innovation Base (NSIB) and assessed the potential impact of disruptive technological developments for U.S. national security and defense policy. She oversaw the development of regional and functional strategies to deal with the most complex national security challenges facing the United States, including Iran, Russia, North Korea, China, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and transnational threats.
“Omnigo Software is a trailblazer in the public safety software industry, and I’m honored to now be a member of their Board. Their holistic approach to safety solutions is unique in the field and is truly ensuring safer tomorrows throughout schools, offices, and all public venues globally,” said Dr. Schadlow. “I look forward to this advisory role within the board, and together with the rest of the board, I am certain we will accomplish many benchmarks.”
In the private sector, Dr. Schadlow helped to direct over $250 million in assets as a Senior Program Officer at Smith Richardson Foundation, where she focused on cultivating and investing in research and policy solutions to improve U.S. security.
Dr. Schadlow was elected Chair of the Army War College Board of Visitors; has served on the Defense Policy Board; and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She received a B.A. in Government and Soviet Studies from Cornell University, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
